Having a lot of needs but little cash is a well-known dilemma for many startups. This is particularly the case when it comes to legal support. The often applied “doing nothing”-strategy is not the best way to handle legal challenges. Using Google to find templates and guides is another common approach, which makes companies exposed for risks and problems, as the results are often not fit for purpose. With this in mind the Swedish legal advisor LWA has decided to develop an online service that will help startups to manage legal matters in an efficient and affordable way.

“The idea is to offer free DIY-legal support combined with fixed price packages and advice from experienced lawyers. The freemium part will cover Q&As, checklists and automated agreements.  We are very excited to take this next step in forming the legal services firm of the future,” says Martin Johansson, COO of LWA – the advisory branch of LegalWorks group.

The new support services will be called LegalBuddy and its launch is planned to take place during March 2020. The project and development process is moving full speed ahead, with coders, UX-specialists and content managers designing a new user-friendly tool full of useful content.
